Lord of the Nations, thank you that there is nowhere I can go that is beyond your presence. As I have surgery, I remain in your loving presence. The Bible says that you will do whatever I ask in Jesus’ name. Hear my prayer in the name of your Son, that my operation would be successful with no complications. Give wisdom to those involved in carrying out my procedure. May the peace of God enfold me, the love of God uphold me and the wisdom of God control me. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
