Heavenly Father, thank you that you possess infinite riches of wisdom, goodness and power. Your word says that you rested on the seventh day of your creation and you have created me to need that same pattern of rest. I am sorry, Lord, for the many times I have neglected your gift of rest and relied on my own power and strength. Let me be filled with your wisdom and peace. May I rest and sleep knowing that you continue to work for my good. Be exalted above the heavens, O God. Let your glory be above all the earth. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
