God, my Fortress, I am immobilized with my own Goliath in my own Valley of Elah. Please, God, fill me with David’s deep confidence in You that gave this shepherd boy the courage to fight the massive Goliath of Gath. David knew he had been chosen by God to be the next king of Israel. I know I am Your child and am to take every thought captive to obey You. I take up a shield of faith and the sword of Your word against my Goliath. My Goliath is not bigger than You, God. My faith in You gives me courage. I will defeat the enemy. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
