God of All Comfort, I am deeply sad. My world is dark and I have no desire to move or breathe. I cannot read Your word right now. Why have You forgotten me? Where is Your mercy? Where is my hope? You say You care for me. You say You will never forsake me. My God, I cry out to You, lost in my dark abyss, asking You to put Your arms around me and pull me out. Flood me with light. Motivate me to get out of bed and go for a walk. Give me the will to move forward. Use my tears to bring hope to others who are hurting. Lord God, I need You now more than ever. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
