Compassionate Father, you provide refreshment for my soul. As I look back over a day of highs and lows, good and bad, happiness and sadness, I bring it all before you. You are at my side, you have protected me from harm and you will do the same again tomorrow. Your word says that I can lie down and not be afraid, that I can lie down and experience refreshing sleep because you are with me. Help me to cast all my cares on you and rest in your love.
