O Lord, sometimes it is just easier to hold on to pain and disappointment than it is to surrender to you. But holding on does not make things better if anything; they only become worse. So today, I choose to surrender all my problems, disappointment, and pain to you. Father, deliver my soul from the wicked with your sword and cause me to triumph over them. Protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. In Jesus’ name, I believe and pray, Amen.
