Most merciful God, Father of the Lord Jesus Christ, I confess that I have sinned in thought, word and deed. I have not loved you with my whole heart and I have not loved my neighbor as myself. I have ignored your commands and rejected your love. In your mercy, please forgive me and transform my heart. Empower me through your Holy Spirit to imitate Christ. Help me to do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with you, my God. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
