Merciful God, thank you that there is nowhere I can go that is beyond your presence. Your word says that you will not let me fall because you never sleep or slumber. While I need to sleep and rest, you never cease working for me, protecting me and fighting for me. Let me be filled with the comfort and security that comes from knowing I am safe in your hands. Help me sleep, Lord. Blessing and glory, wisdom and thanksgiving, honor, and power and strength, be unto you my God, forever and ever. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
