Lord Jesus, you tell us in the word not to worry about what we shall eat, drink, or put on. But the truth is sometimes I find myself worrying about my basic needs. I become overwhelmed by thoughts of defeat and see myself as a failure in life. Lord, help me to defeat these evil thoughts because I know they’re lies from the enemy. Set a standard over my mind and help me to focus on your word, for it is the truth. In Jesus’ name, I believe and pray, Amen.
