O God, my Counselor, help me learn to be in charge of my own happiness. I’ve fallen for the myth that I have to be married and have a family to be happy, but I realize now that happiness is cultivated from within; it’s my relationship with You and my satisfaction with myself that brings true happiness. Help me overcome the lies that I need to be in a relationship to be happy, and to realize that it’s not what I take from the person I’m in a relationship with, but what I give that brings true joy. Amen.
